They then expand their lexical range by matching 12 powerful action verbs (such as automate, predict, deploy, and generate) to their definitions, establishing a framework for describing what modern technology can do. Next, learners explore a showcase of the "Best of CES 2026," reading detailed descriptions of cutting-edge products like the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, the Roborock Saros Rover, and the LG CLOiD robot. They apply new vocabulary through gap-fill exercises. Finally, students verify true/false statements about specific innovations — such as Lenovo's rollable laptops, Boston Dynamics' Atlas robot, and Samsung's new OLED TVs — before using the target verbs to describe the gadgets they use most frequently.
This lesson is designed to fit within a single 90 min session. Both audio and video components are included, which also works well for homework-based or asynchronous practice.
