The key focus here is catching how numbers are naturally spoken in real English (e.g., hearing "fifteen hundred" instead of "one thousand five hundred," or "two K"). To solidify this skill, the class practices expressing quantities, dates, and fractions in varied, natural ways. Students answer personal questions about their own shopping habits, shoe collections, and time spent online, using phrases like "a couple of grand," "three quarters," or "nineteen ninety-nine." The lesson then shifts to three short video stories featuring unique women (Sharron, Steph, and Miriam) who embody the brand's message of celebrating individuality. Students watch to find specific details about their backgrounds, answering targeted questions about Sharron's football journey, Steph's musical instrument, and Miriam's boxing career. The class wraps up by discussing how these women challenge everyday perceptions and how personal style can be a powerful form of self-expression.
